The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mrs. Applegate, the daughter of Harold &amp; Thelma McHam, was born on Jan. 8, 1936, in Paris.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Joyce was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Her husband, Kenneth E. Applegate, preceded her in death. Survivors include five children, Melanie Slaton &amp; husband Roy, Kenneth W. Applegate &amp; wife Kathy, Johnny Glenn Applegate &amp; wife Linda, George Applegate &amp; wife Kerri, and Patricia Aguinaga &amp; husband Lazaro, 27 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, one great great grandchild, one brother, Dennis Norman along with friends, Nelda Melton and Patricia Ellis, her helper, Christine Johnson, her roommate, Sandra Stanley and a host of friends.
