Billy Lynn McQueen, 66, of Sulphur Springs, Texas went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in Hope Family Fellowship 434 E. Jefferson St., Sulphur Springs, Texas 75482. Visitations will be from 6:00 \u2013 7:00 pm Monday, March 3, 2025, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris, Texas, and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2025, at the church. Burial will follow in the Peerless Cemetery.
\nBilly was born on September 29, 1958, in Sulphur Springs, Texas a son of Lonnie and Betty Moore McQueen. Billy was a longtime dairyman and was a retired employee of Northeast Texas Farmer\u2019s Coop.<\/p>\n
He was ordained in 2013 with the Assemblies of God and has been a licensed minister for many years. He was on the staff of Casa de Paz Church in Paris for several years. Billy loved to preach and teach the word of God especially teachings on salvation and the rapture of the church.\u00a0 He was very active in the church and Impact Paris ministries. He loved reading gospel books, the bible, and listening to gospel music.<\/p>\n
He was a graduate of North Hopkins High School where he was active in Ag and the FFA. He showed registered Jersey cattle while in Ag.
\nHe enjoyed gardening and taking a trip anywhere especially Branson, Missouri and he loved going with the senior adults from Hope Family Fellowship where he was still an honorary member.\u00a0 Billy loved being with his family. He was very witty and loved to laugh.<\/p>\n
He is survived by his brother, Jackie McQueen, and his wife, Diane, nephew, Jason Steffey, uncle, Cecil Moore of Sulphur Springs and many cousins.
\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, many aunts and uncles, and other family.<\/p>\n
