Biggest ‘supermoon’ of the year to appear Wednesday

According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, this full moon is commonly called the Buck moon because male deer, or bucks, fully grow out their antlers in July. Bucks’ antlers shed each year and then regrow a little bigger as the buck ages.

ERCOT issues conservation appeal to Texans

With extreme hot weather driving record power demand across Texas, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is issuing a Conservation Appeal, asking Texans and Texas businesses to voluntarily conserve electricity Monday, July 11, between 2-8 p.m.
