Marie Reed || Obituary

Marie Reed, 88, of Paris, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025, at Paris Chalet. Mrs. Reed, the daughter of Frank & Thelma Kirby, was born May 16, 1936, in the Chicota Community of Lamar County. On June 6, 1961, she married Billy Reed.

A loving wife, mother, and friend, Marie had three children: Carolyn Maynard, Diane Gower, and Cathy Weber. She had four grandchildren: Shawn Beck, Stephen Maynard, Joshua Gower, and Krystal Bergman, six great grandchildren: Kimberly Rhodes, Justyn Berry, Kellie Beck, Cody Beck, Erin Maynard, and Dillion Farnham and two great great grandchildren: Kolt Berry and Kohen Berry. She is also survived by Angela Kirby Bedford and her family; Jim Kirby and his family; and Bobby Patterson and his family.

The family of Marie Reed wishes to express sincere gratitude to Angela Kirby Bedford for her loving kindness and devotion during our mother’s final years.

Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
