April 17, 2025, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1400 block of Clarksville involving several juvenile subjects who were intoxicated and causing a disturbance. One of the juveniles assaulted a family member in the officers’ view and was arrested. 3 others were arrested in the area for Public Intoxication. As the suspects were juveniles, Juvenile Probation was contacted and ordered that the juveniles be released to their parents. All were released to parents or guardians.


 

April 18, 2025

Officers were notified of an Auto auto-pedestrian accident occurring at Chili’s Restaurant. Upon arrival, they met the victim, who was uncooperative but advised the incident had actually occurred in the 5-600 block of Stone Avenue. The victim advised that they were in an argument with a subject with whom they were in a dating relationship and that the subject had intentionally struck them with a vehicle. The victim refused to provide suspect information to the officers. Photos were taken, and the report was filed.


 

April 18, 2025

Officers responded to an accident in the 2400 block of Clarksville in which a vehicle struck another from behind. The driver of the rear vehicle had then fled the scene on foot, but was heard telling someone on the phone as he fled the scene that his ID was still in the car. Officers recovered the suspect’s license from the vehicle and also documented an empty alcoholic beverage container and THC packaging inside the vehicle. The suspect could not be located at that time. The driver of the other vehicle suffered injury. The investigation is ongoing.


 

April 19, 2025

A theft of a vehicle was reported in the 2600 block of Bella Vista Drive. The victim advised his vehicle was in his driveway between 1800 and 1900 on April 18. He noticed the vehicle was gone on this date at about 0700. The vehicle, a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, was entered in the system as stolen. It was discovered that this was the vehicle involved in the hit and run accident in the 2400 block of Clarksville on the 18th. The suspect who’s identity was left in the vehicle was the reporting party. Suspect denied being the driver of the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the stolen list and the case is ongoing.


 

April 19, 2025

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of W. Houston in regards to a disturbance and assault. They made contact with two victims and witnesses who advised that Zakary Ty Barnes (21) had assaulted two individuals with a metal pipe. Officers gathered evidence at the scene and observed that the victim’s had injuries coinciding with the claimed assault. Barnes was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon, one on a family member. He was arrested without incident.


 

April 20, 2025

Officers responded to a disturbance in the 300 block of Clement Rd. There was a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and a magazine for a handgun was found on the parking lot. Numerous individuals left the area and regrouped in the area of 9th and Shiloh, where another disturbance was about to incite. Witnesses advised that two suspects had fired multiple shots in the air at the Clement Rd location but that their identities were unknown. One vehicle that had been at the scene was reported to have damage from being shot. Glass was broken out and there was a bullet hole in the body of the vehicle. Evidence including shell casings, weapon accessories and the afore mentioned weapon magazine were collected. One victim of the disturbance at the club was treated for minor injuries at PRMC hospital. The investigation is ongoing.


Officers made 76 traffic stops, 14 adult arrest, and answered 309 calls for service for this reporting period.
