Marilyn Ann Dollins Bell || Obituary
Marilyn Ann Dollins Bell, born March 11, 1951, in Paris, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on April 15, 2025, surrounded by family.
As a teen, Marilyn began working at the 271 Drive-In, where she met the love of her life, Glenn Bell. They married on June 7, 1967, building a beautiful life together for nearly 58 years. Marilyn and Glenn lovingly served their community through the Drive-In and later through Bell Electronics, where they worked side by side for decades.
Marilyn graduated from North Lamar High School in 1969 and earned an associate degree in Data Processing from Paris Junior College. A gifted storyteller and photographer, she wrote for The Paris News and shared her love of people through her work.
A devoted member of Hi-Way Full Gospel Church, Marilyn loved singing with her church family, praying for others, and living a life filled with faith, joy, and boldness. She adored her grandchildren, lovingly known to them as Meme, and treasured time spent with family on beach vacations, country drives, and car shows, sharing a passion for classic muscle cars with Glenn.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Glenn Bell; daughters Wendy Bell and Kasey Bell; grandchildren Keaton Raney, Peri Raney, and Kache Bell; brother Randy Dollins; sisters Carolyn Williamson and Charla Rose; and her stepfather Charles Harper.
The family thanks all who cared for Marilyn, prayed for her, and supported her during her medical battles.
We rejoice that Marilyn is no longer in pain and has received her new, glorified body in heaven. As Jesus said in John 11:25–26:
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
Visitation will be Sunday, April 20, 2025, from 4:00–5:00 PM at Bright-Holland Funeral Home, and a service will be Monday, April 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel.
