Peggy Roland Jack || Obituary
Peggy Roland Jack, age 87, passed away on April 16, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Patrick Cannon and Derald Bulls officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 AM, one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Petty, Texas
Peggy was born July 5, 1937, to Christopher C. Roland and Julie Sorrels Roland in the Dial Community, south of Honey Grove, TX. She graduated from Honey Grove High School in 1955 and from Paris Junior College in 1957. She married Gerald Jack on February 22, 1957, at the Dial Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ.
She retired from a career in banking in 1997, which lasted twenty-four years at various banks in the different cities where Gerald’s career changes took them. She was a member and President of Tempo Music Club, Merry Makers Bridge Club, Four Seasons Bridge Club, and Third Wednesday Bridge (LOL). She was a member of DAR. Her family, church family, and church were her life. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything, and spending time with them meant everything to her. Her dog, Coco, was her constant companion. Bridging with her friends and working in her yard were her favorite pastimes.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and a brother.
Survivors include children, Gary Jack and wife Laura, Jeanne Kraft and husband Wally, James Jack and wife Kelly, Ray Jack and wife Brandie; grandchildren, Chris Jack, Callie Jack Tate, Trey Kraft, Jack Kraft, Eric Kraft, Melanie Kraft Butts, Marissa Jack Madding, Jessica JackDavis, Kelcey Jack, Alli Belle Jack; two great-grandchildren, J.T. Tate and Jesse Davis; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
