April 14, 2025

Officers responded to a report of a burglary of residence in progress in the 200 block of NW 27th. Officers were advised that a victim had arrived at his home to find a male suspect lying in his bed. The victim confronted the suspect and ordered him to leave the residence. The suspect exited the residence and the victim called the Police. Approximately two hours later, the same suspect was located by another neighbor across the street from the victim’s residence. Officers arrived and detained Hakeem Dantone Crittenden (30). Crittenden admitted to having entered the residence and was found to have items in his possession that he confessed to having stolen from the residence. He was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Residence, a Felony, booked and placed in jail.


April 14, 2025

Sarah Leverne Chenault (56) was arrested in the 3200 block of Clarksville St. on an outstanding warrant for Theft over $2500.00 but under $30,000.00. The arrest stemmed from an incident reported in February 2025 in which Chenault, who was employed as an apartment manager, was allegedly found to have taken monies for rental payments but had not turned them in for deposit to the bank, depriving the apartment’s owners of their property. Chenault was booked and transferred to Lamar County Jail.

 

Officers made 18 traffic stops, 9 adult arrest, and answered 96 calls for service for this reporting period.
