Margaret “Margie” Gibson (Griffith) || Obituary

Margaret “Margie” Gibson (Griffith), 61 of Paris, passed away peacefully Monday, April 14, 2025.

She was born on November 29, 1963, in Mount Vernon, Texas, to the late Margarette B. Cooper and the late Oscar E. Gibson, the fifth child of ten children.

Margie was a woman with a big heart, almost too big at times. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, reading, and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones outdoors. She was a woman of kindness and warmth, often putting the needs of her family first. A devoted partner to Butch Butler, she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Marley Wayne Gibson, Angela Gibson, and Charles Gibson.

She was the loving mother to and is survived by Bridget and Beau Carroll; siblings James Gibson, Curtis Gibson, Dwight Gibson, Barbara Coe, Lee Lee Frazier, and Wundretta White. She is also survived by three wonderful grandchildren, Cole Carroll, Brook Carroll and Carroll Neighbor.

A memorial service will be held at a future date. Cremation arrangements were made by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
