Officers responded to the 3900 block of N. Main, Texas Parole Office, and arrested Justin Brook Taylor on a Parole Violation Warrant. Taylor was taken into custody without incident.

The department was notified of a possible Tax Fraud occurring at a company in the business of preparing tax returns. The business location given was in the 2200 block of Lamar Avenue. According to the victim, the employees there attempted to get her to make false statements on her tax return so she could receive more of a refund. When she refused to do this, they insisted that she fill out more paperwork and then refused to explain the paperwork to her. The business then attempted to charge the victim almost 1000.00 for tax preparation when the agreed amount had been 150.00. An initial report was completed, and the case is under investigation.

A Burglary of Residence was reported in the 3900 block of Lamar Avenue. Suspects had entered the victim’s apartment through an unlocked door and stolen a gaming system. The residence named some possible suspects but stated they had no concrete details as to those particular individuals stealing the property. Evidence was collected at the scene and the case is ongoing.

Officers made 27 traffic stops, 4 adult arrest, and answered 83 calls for service for this reporting period.
