Leslie Ruth (Smith) Elrod, 70, of Detroit, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at Paris Regional Health, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. John Scroggin officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Leslie, the daughter of Earl & Lorraine Smith, was born September 3, 1954, in Oxnard, CA.

She graduated from high school in California. Leslie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. She was an avid reader and had many interests.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Elrod, with whom she spent 25 years of family and memories, one son, Clinton Elrod & wife Emily, a grandson, Alexander Elrod, a step-daughter, Jaclyn Ricks, three step-grandchildren, Ayanna, Peyton, and Cameron, two siblings, Mark Smith & wife Jeanine and Kim Smith, three aunts, Mary, Joann, and Reba, and several nieces & nephews including Chris Smith and Colleen Smith along with a host of friends.
