Ann Preston Lamb, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on September 28, 1942, in Paris, Texas to Dewey and Johny Preston, Ann’s life was a testament to love, faith, and unwavering dedication.

Ann was the cherished wife of Garland Lamb, with whom she shared 54 years of a beautiful marriage until his passing in 2015. Together, they built a joyful life, raising three children in a home filled with faith and love.

Ann is survived by her three children and their spouses: Lisa and Erwin Homann, Kristi and Ron Hubbard, and Derek and Sandy Lamb. Her legacy also lives on through her cherished grandchildren and their spouses: Daniel Homann, Andrew and Molly Homann, Jarrett Hubbard, Anna Kate Hubbard, Bethany and Tyler Hopkins, Zachery Lamb, and Chase Lamb. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Levi Homann and eagerly awaited the arrival of another great-grandchild this month. Ann also leaves behind her three remaining siblings: Mary Vaughan, Douglas Preston, and Gloria Fitzgerald, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition, Ann had a successful career in real estate that spanned over 40 years. As a broker and long-time owner of Century 21 Executive Realty, she was held in high esteem by her peers and celebrated for her professionalism, grace, and intelligence.

A deeply devoted member of East Paris Baptist Church, Ann played a significant role in her community. Her musical talents were a blessing to many, as she served as the organist at Springlake Baptist Church prior to joining East Paris Baptist. Anns love for music also extended to her family gatherings, where she delighted everyone with her beautiful renditions of Christmas songs. Her warm heart, kind smile, and compassionate spirit endeared her to all who knew her.

Ann was a constant source of support and encouragement to both her family and friends, embodying beauty inside and out. Her ministry was through Christian books and quality time, always available for others and touching countless lives. Ann’s presence brought comfort and joy to those around her. She will be greatly missed.

Anns family is deeply grateful for the excellent care she received in her final years at Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living in Paris.

A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held at Fry- Gibbs Funeral Home, 730 Clarksville Street, Saturday April 12, 2025. Visitation at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 in the chapel.   After a luncheon at East Paris Baptist Church, burial will be at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Paris.

Her family and friends will miss her dearly but are comforted knowing she is at peace and reunited with her husband Garland after a long illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anns memory to East Paris Baptist Church or Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living in Paris.
