April 05, 2025

Officers received a call of a terrorist threat occurring in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue. A suspect, Cameron Sage Floyd (17) produced a note to an individual in the business advising that he had an explosive and the subject needed to leave. Floyd was accompanied by two juvenile suspects as well. Through investigation, it was discovered that the subjects were videoing the incident for posting on social media and, in fact, all were involved. The threat caused fear to the affected victims and management of the business. All suspects were arrested for terrorist threats, a Felony, and transported to the Paris Police Department. The juveniles were released to parents per Juvenile Probation and Floyd was booked and transferred to Lamar County Jail.


April 05, 2025

Officers arrested Benten Riley Parson (34) on an outstanding warrant for theft under $2500.00 with prior convictions. Parson was contacted during a security check in the 600 block of S. Main. When contacted Parson identified himself and was found to be wanted for the theft which had been reported on March 16, 2025, in which Parson stole $479.82 in merchandise from Wal-Mart. During the contact with Parson, he had dropped several items to the ground. These items included illegal narcotics. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in addition to the warrant arrest. He was taken into custody with minimal resistance.


April 06, 2025

Sidney Ann Cady (25), and Cameron Isaiah Harrison (24) were arrested in the 700 block of Pine Bluff Street after officers performed a Security Check on a U-Haul truck at the location. Officers made contact with Harrison, who was found to be in possession of a firearm and subsequent investigation revealed a stolen 2023 Honda motorcycle concealed in the cargo area of the vehicle. It was discovered that Harrison was a convicted felon, therefore; he was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Both Harrison and Cady, who had rented the truck, were charged with Felony Theft. Cady had previous convictions for theft and her charge was enhanced. Both were booked without incident. Harrison was found to be in possession of stolen identifying information and credit cards. He was charged with Credit Card Abuse as well.


April 06, 2025

Officers responded to a disturbance call in the 2600 block of Lamar Avenue and arrested Johnny Rudolph Villines Jr (33) for Assault by Impeding Breath to a Family Member, a Felony. The 37 year old victim advised that Villines had choked and attempted to smother her. There was physical evidence at the scene confirming the assault. Villines was arrested without incident. An Emergency Protective Order was requested.

 

Officers made 36 traffic stops, 9 adult arrest, and answered 225 calls for service for this reporting period.
