Officers met with a victim who reported that an unknown person had contacted her demanding money. The suspect had photos of the victim in a compromising and embarrassing situation and was threatening to send the photographs to the victim’s friends and family if she did not give them money. The victim turned over all information to the reporting officer and the investigation is underway.
April 03, 2025
While on routine patrol officers noticed a pickup truck in the 2800 block of E. Hubbard with the doors standing open. Officers checked the vehicle and found that it appeared that someone had gone through the vehicle as the glove compartment and console appeared to have been prowled through. Officers located the owner of the vehicle and informed him of the incident. He confirmed that the truck had been burglarized and that he was missing a handgun from the vehicle. Officers checked the area and made contact with one individual. It was confirmed that the individual did not have the stolen property in his possession at that time. The handgun was entered as stolen in TCIC/NCIC computer and the investigation will continue.
Officers made 2 traffic stops, no adult arrest, and answered 89 calls for service for this reporting period.
