WEATHER ALERT || Severe Storm Potential for Late Tuesday Night Through Saturday
The National Weather Service report says isolated severe storms may develop ahead of a dryline late this evening, with additional isolated to scattered storm development expected after midnight into Wednesday morning, especially north of the I-20 corridor. All hazards will be possible, including very large hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado IF storms develop (15-25% chance Tuesday evening). Ensure you have multiple ways to receive warnings before heading to bed, as the main severe weather window will occur after sunset.
Wednesday report calls for scattered strong to severe storms will continue into Wednesday morning and early Wednesday afternoon, with a bit of a lull expected late Wednesday afternoon. However, additional strong to severe storms are expected to develop late Wednesday evening into the overnight hours, particularly along and north of I-20. Very large hail will likely be the main hazard on Wednesday along with damaging winds. The tornado threat will be low, but not zero.
Late week thunderstorm chances continue Thursday through Saturday, with heavy rain and severe weather possible each day. Remember to keep up with the latest forecasts for your area and have a way to receive severe weather warnings (TV, smart phone, radio, weather radio).
