Officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of SE 13th St. They received information that a suspect, identified as Kyle Shannon Gilpin (30) had intentionally struck a victim with his vehicle and then left the scene. Witnesses were following the suspect vehicle. An officer stopped and detained Gilpin in the 2200 block of N. Main St. Other officers collected information that Gilpin had also held a knife to another family member’s throat and threatened to kill them. The victim who had been struck by the vehicle was also a family member of Gilpin. Gilpin was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault of a Family Member causing injury, a Felony, and Assault of a Family Member. He was also arrested on numerous municipal misdemeanor warrants.

April 01, 2025

Officers were notified of a subject burglarizing vehicles in the 700 block of N. Collegiate. They located the suspect vehicle and stopped it. The driver was identified as Mark Clinton Roberson (34). Officers immediately observed marijuana in the vehicle and detained Roberson for the marijuana. A subsequent vehicle search located cocaine and loose change, which a victim of a burglary of motor vehicle claimed was theirs. Roberson was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.

Officers made 8 traffic stops, 3 adult arrest, and answered 112 calls for service for this reporting period.
