March 28, 2025

John Anthony Suel (59) was arrested at the District Parole Office on an outstanding Parole Violation warrant for Dangerous Drugs. He was processed without incident and transferred to Lamar County Jail.

 

March 29, 2025

Officers were notified of a disturbance in a vehicle in which the victim had been dropped off in the 1600 block of NW Loop 286. They arrived at the scene and met the victim, who told them that she had been assaulted by Kaden Scott Berry (22). The victim claimed that Berry had choked her several times. She had injuries consistent with the reported assault. The victim requested an emergency protective order. Officers made contact with Berry in the 3900 block of FM 195. Berry’s story was similar to the victims, however; it did not explain some of the physical assaultive evidence observed by officers. Berry was placed under arrest for Assault of a Family Member or Household with Impediment of Breath, a Felony.

 

March 29, 2025

Officers responded to a report of a Burglary of a Residence in the 700 block of SE 23rd. The victim, who was out of town at the time, had their room in the residence closed off from the rest of the house. A suspect made entry to the room without permission and stole cash and change in excess of 1000.00 as well as a handgun, jewelry, and clothing. Officers received a possible suspect identity from witnesses and the incident remains under investigation.

 

March 29, 2025

22:48 The department was notified of an auto-pedestrian hit and run in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue. The victim, a 27-year-old male, was found lying in the roadway by a witness, who called police. The victim advised that he had been walking East on Lamar Avenue when he was struck from behind by a gray or silver SUV of unknown make. The victim was transported by Paris EMS to the hospital. Officers continued investigating the scene. The victim refused further treatment and left the hospital against medical advice. The incident investigation will continue.

 

March 30, 2025

Officers served a Federal warrant for Possession of a Weapon on Tarik Jerome Alexander (32) of Paris. The warrant was served in the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue. Alexander was taken into custody without incident. He also had a local misdemeanor warrant for Falsification of a Drug Test.

 

March 30, 2025

Vandals destroyed a urinal and sink in the men’s room of the restrooms of Wade’s Park in the 2200 block of E. Price. The suspects broke the enamel fixtures by striking them with some blunt object. Anyone with information are requested to contact the department with information.

 

Officers made 41 traffic stops, 12 adult arrest, and answered 284 calls for service for this reporting period.
