Officers responded to a disturbance in the 2100 block of E. Cherry where a female was reportedly attempting to stab a male with garden shears. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a victim with a cut to his cheek. The victim denied any disturbance. Officers made contact with Misty Michelle Zornow (43) who was the described suspect in the incident. While interviewing the two subjects, it became obvious to officers that a disturbance had taken place but that neither of the two would cooperate with the investigation. Based on physical evidence at the scene and witness testimony, officers arrested Zornow on the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Zornow also had a municipal court warrant. Zornow was taken into custody and transported to the police department. After exiting the patrol vehicle, a bag of narcotics was located in the area of Zornow’s path from the vehicle. A video review revealed that Zornow had dropped the narcotics as she exited the patrol unit. Zornow was subsequently filed on for Possession of a controlled substance and Tampering with Evidence. Both felony charges.

Officers made 26 traffic stops, and 5 adult arrests, and answered 97 calls for service for this reporting period.
