Leslie Rene Williamson, 56, of Humble, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Houston.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 29th at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with Father Tyler Been officiating. The family will receive friends at the Parish Hall one hour before the service. Entombment will follow in the Meadowbrook Mausoleum.
Leslie was born March 14, 1969, in Beeville, TX.
Leslie graduated from the Galveston College of Nursing in 1992. Her career in the healthcare field spanned many years with most of those years as a charge nurse. She worked in labor & delivery, a prison hospital in Galveston, in-home health in Texas City, as a physical rehabilitation nurse, as a hospice nurse in Ft. Worth, and her last job was in Houston where she worked for United Health Group in the WellMed Department for the last four years. She worked closely with doctors and staff at clinics providing education on proper coding and documentation. She loved her job and was very good at it. Leslie was loved by all her work family very much. She brought light and joy to everyone she worked with.
Leslie was the “spark plug” of the family, always initiating trips and fun times. She was a loving and giving person with a fun personality.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Wes McKee, Billie McKee, and L. C. Womack, and an uncle, Larry Womack.
Survivors include two sons, Taylor Scalf and Brandon Scalf, her fiancé, Luis Melendez, a grandson, Moses Anderson, her parents, Sherrie and Preston Williamson, siblings, Tracy McNown & husband Mike, Zachary S. Williamson, and Mitch H. Williamson & wife Holly, a grandmother, Margie McKee, a special aunt, Donna O’Toole along with several nieces & nephews who loved her very much and a plethora of friends.
