The North Lamar Panther Baseball team secured a 4-1 victory over Paris High School on Friday night in a game that brought out not only fans but also the future of Panther baseball.

The evening kicked off with the Credit Union of Texas set up at 6:00 p.m., grilling and serving burgers to raise funds for Project Graduation—a cause dedicated to celebrating North Lamar seniors in a safe, drug- and alcohol-free environment.

Following the win, the varsity baseball players turned their focus to the next generation of athletes. Boys and girls in attendance were invited onto the field where they each received a free baseball and had the opportunity to meet the Panther players. Young fans eagerly went from player to player, collecting autographs and personalized baseball cards—a keepsake that included the athlete’s jersey number, grade, basic stats, and two inspiring additions: each player’s “Words to Live By” and “What I Love About Panther Baseball.”

This meaningful experience was created to encourage and motivate youth in the community as they begin their own journeys in school athletics. The messages shared were full of encouragement, highlighting the values of hard work, teamwork, and Panther pride.

North Lamar ISD is proud of its student-athletes for not only their performance on the field but also their dedication to uplifting the next generation.
