Charla Stanford || Obituary

Charla Stanford, 51 of Detroit, Texas passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, after a long battle of illnesses.

 Charla was born on September 15, 1973, to Scott & Jodie Loveless and was one of four children. Charla attended Prairiland High School and grew up on her daddy’s family land with her two brothers and sister. She lived a full life until she was no longer able to, but she made the most of it. Among her accomplishments were her two children, Sherri & Christopher whom she held as her pride and joy.

 When her granddaughter Emberley came along she stole Charla’s heart and became her whole world, along with her great nieces and nephews whom she adored and loved watching grow. She lived her life surrounded by family & friends, laughing and she was nothing short of a ball of fire despite her many challenges, yet even amidst what life brought her way Charla never wavered to put a smile on others’ faces. You always knew what she was thinking because if her mouth didn’t say it, her face did, she will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claude & Ollie Loveless, Bart & Irene Blagg; brother, Clint Loveless and her beloved son, whom she deeply missed, Christopher Stanford, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Christopher Stanford, Sr., parents, Scott & Jodie Loveless of Paris, TX, daughter, Sherri (Shane) Cabler & granddaughter, Emberley Cabler of Detroit, TX; siblings, Mickey (Gwen) Blagg of North Dakota, and Crystal Martin of Detroit, TX.; nieces & nephews, Cody (Hunter) Smith, Kaitlyn White, Sean (Haley) Martin, Dillion Blagg, Dakota Blagg, Hayli Logan & April Ochoa; numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Per Charla’s request there will not be a funeral service held, family will have visitation and a small celebration of life at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 4pm-6pm.
