Michael “Mike” Dean Marr || Obituary

Michael “Mike” Dean Marr, age 69, of Paris, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, at his residency.

Mike was born on August 2, 1955, in Paris, the son of the late Billie Joyce Cole and Bill Floyd Marr. He married Cathy Williams in 1975 and together they raised three children.

He graduated from East Texas State University and received a degree in teaching. He spent over 20 years at General Dynamics as the supervisor.

Mike was known for his quick wit, infectious laugh, and deep love for his family. He enjoyed cooking, being outdoors, and his strong belief in God. He served two years in Vietnam between the years 1972-1974. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, brothers, and many friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Billie Joyce Cole and Bill Frank and his Wife Cathy Marr.  He is survived by his children Shane with his wife Amanda Marr, Crystal with her husband Antonio Cunningham, and Sheena with her husband Marcus Cue, and eleven grandchildren, Rob Ward, Brady Campbell, Halley Mead, Madison Marr, Caitlyn Gable, Logan Cunningham, Gracelynn Cunningham, Aryana Cunningham, Aiyana Cue, Sophia Marr, and Kayden Cue. With eight great grandchildren as well as his three brothers, Richard “Ricky “Wortham with wife Tricia, William “Willie” Hudson with wife Terry, Timothy “Timmy” Hudson with fiancé Mary Albertson’s brother Steve Marr and Debbie Durbin. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews

The friend and family night will be held on Wednesday March 26, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at Fry & Gibbs Funeral home. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday March 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Fry & Gibbs funeral home.

His nephew TJ Hudson will be officiating his service

Ps. It was also confirmed by Timmy Hudson that daddy did indeed spank his niece Chasity for being a brat in the summer of 1987.
