Drowning at Lake Crook

At 18:08 Paris Police assisted Paris Fire Department and Paris EMS with a drowning incident that occurred at Lake Crook Park. The victim, a thirty-year-old male, entered the water to recover an item, disappeared beneath the water, and never resurfaced. The Paris Fire Department and Texas Game Wardens responded for recovery efforts and the victim was recovered at approximately 21:41. Officers spoke with multiple witnesses to the incident and took statements. The victim was taken to American Forensics for autopsy. The incident remains under investigation.
