United Way of Lamar County Letter of Intent Meetings for 2026 Funding to Be Held in April

The United Way of Lamar County will be holding two Letter of Intent meetings for agencies interested in applying for 2026 funding.  The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, April 8th at 9 am and Wednesday, April 9th at 1 pm. Agencies must attend one of the meetings which will be held at the United Way office located at 2340 Lamar Avenue.

In 2025, the United Way of Lamar County allocated $475,000 in funding to 19 agencies including the King’s Daughters, the American Red Cross, the Salvation Army, the Boys and Girls Club, the Lamar County Child Welfare Board, RSVP, the Lamar County Literacy Council, Children’s Advocacy Center, Reach Center, Imagination Library, Habitat for Humanity, Paris Metro, Downtown Food Pantry, CASA for Kids, Tailored Rides, Paris Community Theatre, HomeStay, Keep Paris Beautiful, Paris Wesley Center, and C.E.R.T.
In addition to attending one of the Letter of Intent meetings where grant eligibility and the grant agreement are explained, agencies must submit a written grant application, participate in a site visit by a UWLC Board member, and be interviewed by the Citizen Review Panel.
