Flora Lee Riley || Obituary
Flora Lee Riley 98, of Sumner, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Pine Tree Ranch Assisted Living in Paris. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Stoney Point Cemetery 8241 CR 1095 Anna, Texas 75409, a historic site in Collin County, Texas, located about six miles east of Melissa. Pastor Brad Crosswhite will officiate.
Flora was born on November 21, 1926, in Monkstown to Gordon Walter and Maggie Bell Spann Russell. She was the youngest of their seven children. After earning her high school diploma, Flora began her career as a machine operator at Hessy Envelope in Dallas, where she worked for 15 years. She was an avid fan of football and other sports. On December 13, 1952, Flora married Owen Ray Riley, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.
Flora overcame a severe car accident and was a cancer survivor. Her determination and resilience were hallmarks of her character. She was tough and straightforward but had a heart of gold. Flora formed deep relationships with those around her and she was dearly loved by all who knew her.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband and her six siblings.
