Carrol Wayne Malone || Obituary
Carrol Wayne Malone, born on May 26, 1941, in Lamar County, Texas, was the youngest son of 12 children born to Alvin and Delphia Jopes Malone. He graduated from Cunningham High School and later attended Paris Junior College. On May 26, 1962, Carrol Wayne married Betty Jean Lane, and together they shared 63 years of love and memories.
A man of few words but great character, Carrol Wayne was known for his quiet nature and hard-working spirit. He had a deep love for his cows, enjoyed driving tractors and bulldozers, and was happiest with a remote control in his hand, watching old westerns and rodeos. One of his favorite pastimes was playfully rooting against the Dallas Mavericks, much to the occasional aggravation of his beloved wife.
He worked at B&W in Paris for 32 years until it closed. Most of his time was spent as an inspector where many of his co-workers knew him as Ever Dot. After the company closed, Carrol Wayne transitioned to a role as a custodian at Paris High School, where he worked for four years before retiring to pursue his passion for ranching full-time. He attended the Cowboy Church in the Camp, until his health began failing and then continued to watch virtually.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Delphia Malone, brothers and sisters, Ruby “Sis” Ailes, William “Son” Malone, Geneva “Jo” Gordon, Charles “Shorty” Malone, Clarence “Bunken” Malone, and LD Malone.
