Rita Mabus Jennings || Obituary

Rita Mabus Jennings, 94, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Paris, Texas at The Home Place assisted living facility Born October 30, 1930, in Memphis, Tennessee to Butler & Ida Mabus. She is preceded by her loving husband of 63 years, John Jennings.

Rita is survived by 3 sons, Daniel and wife Kathy, Hiram and wife Stella, and Dennis.

She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Melissa Bailey and spouse John, Melinda Metzger and spouse James, Sarah Rivenbark and spouse Beth, Danielle and spouse Alan and Andrew Jennings.

Great grandchildren, Brent Bailey, Julia Bailey, and Henry Duffy.

She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. The Home Place took great care of Rita, and the family would like to thank all the staff, especially Audrey Nottingham and Blake Newman. A special thank you to Jana Sanders, Rachel Wood, and the staff at Platinum Home Health.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on March 8, 2025, at 2 pm at Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
