Charley O. Tidwell || Obituary
Charley O. Tidwell, 77, of Paris, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Paris Regional Health.
Cremation was under the care and direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
Mr. Tidwell, the son of Johnny Andrew Tidwell and Della Ledbetter Tidwell, was born September 28, 1947, in Novice, TX. He graduated from Powderly High School. Charley worked in Dallas several years in printing before moving back to Lamar County. His career at Uarco spanned a number of years before the plant closed. He then owned and operated a portable welding business, was a security guard at Kimberly-Clark, and was a ranch foreman in Detroit. When Charley retired, he was driving a truck for J. B. Hunt. After retirement, he enjoyed his years volunteering at the Lamar County Fairgrounds.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Dakota Ray Tidwell, an infant brother, and a sister, Carol Clark.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Kelley Tidwell, two sons, Johnny Tidwell and Glynn Tidwell & wife Christy, two grandchildren, Kassidi Tidwell and Hunter Tidwell, a brother, Travis Tidwell, and a sister, Nancy Cunningham along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
