Jill K. Walker 81, of Paris, TX passed away January 11, 2025.  A retired Lt. Col. USAF and local rancher, Jill now resides in the Lord’s Heaven.

Family will receive friends at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM till 7:00 PM.  Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, in the Fry-Gibbs Chapel.  An Internment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery at Fulbright, TX with full military honors by the US Air Force Honor Guard.

Jill was born August 24, 1943, in Reno, Nevada, a daughter of Mr. Robert B. and Lois A. Walker.

She earned her nursing degree from the University of Nevada as well as two master’s degrees.

Jill retired from the United States Air Force after a career lasting 23 years.  Besides stateside assignments, she also served in Japan, England, and Vietnam where she flew over 105 combat missions caring for wounded soldiers. She received many awards including: Meritorious Service Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters for her professionalism and dedication to duty, AF Outstanding Unit Award with a Silver and Bronze Leaf Cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters.

Jill loved raising quarter horses and living in Paris, Texas.

Jill was preceded in death by her twin brother Jack Walker, an older brother Bob Walker, and her parents Robert and Lois Walker. She is survived by a beloved sister Sara, a niece Jayna, and nephews Rob, Nick, and Alex.
