Mark David Cantrell || Obituary

Mark David Cantrell 63, of Tyler, passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2025.

Funeral services have been set for Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mark was born on September 17, 1961, in Paris, Texas to Wesley and Margaret Wells Cantrell. Mark spent 27 years with the Born Shoe Company, a job that he loved immensely, where many clients became friends. He loved his family deeply and was always ready for a family gathering, he also enjoyed a round of golf from time to time. He loved playing games with his family and friends, but did not like to lose, which happened often. Mark married the love of his life Karen Ogletree on December 29, 2023, in Branson, Missouri, and just recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. He was a member of Powderly Methodist Church.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife, Karen Cantrell, mom, Paula Cantrell, son, Cody Cantrell, stepdaughter, Felicia Ogletree, also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Joey Bolton, Dale Routon, David Dunmon, Terry Ogletree, Jeff Shipley, Lawrence Price.
