Michael Dewayne Langston || Obituary

Michael Dewayne Langston, 51 of Bogata, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025.

Funeral services have been set for Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 11:00 am at Chicota Baptist Church with Rev. Karl Bush officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Michael was born in Arlington, Texas on October 2, 1973, to Gail and Charles Langston. He graduated from Prairiland High School.  Michael was a long-time employee of Campbell Soup Company.  He loved to hunt and spend time outdoors.  He loved spending time with his family and cherished each moment with them.  Michael adored his grandsons and was very proud to be their “Pappy”.

He is survived by his wife, Misty Sumrow Langston; son, Ashdon Langston and wife Ashley; daughter, Bella Langston; grandchildren, Asher and Ander Langston; brothers, Bobby Langston and wife Jennifer, Cary Shane Langston and wife Deanna; mother-in-law, Barbara Langston; niece and nephew, Cheyenne Salizar and Cameron Arispe; numerous other family members and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Rendon Langston; mother, Gail Wolfe; father, Charles Langston; special aunt, Judy Whittle; father-in-law, DeWayne Sumrow; brother-in-law, Mark Wayne Young

Serving as Pallbearers will be Cary Shane Langston, Cutter Raley, Brody Evans, Wade Payne, Jacob Grider, Brandon Dorries, Jacob Burton and Kaleb Carico.
