Mary Lou (Jenkins) Naron Rowland || Obituary
Mary Lou (Jenkins) Naron Rowland, 90, of Paris, died Saturday, December 28, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born January 24, 1934, in Dierks, Arkansas, the daughter of Vester and Agnes (Patton) Jenkins. She married Ray Naron on August 14, 1959, in Marshall, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1992. She married Bill Rowland on August 5, 2000, and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2018.
Mrs. Rowland was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her ever-growing family. She was a talented seamstress who sewed not only for the public at one time but also for her family. In her later years, she spent her time making beautiful quilts for her loved ones. She was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Sherry McAnally of Missouri, Ann Sanders of Oklahoma, Rev. Michael Naron and wife Cindy of Pasadena, Texas, Danny Naron and wife Cheryl of Paris, Lorena Brady and husband Matt of Missouri, and Dawn Chalaire and husband Dennis of Humble, Texas; son-in-law, Jeff Shipman of Paris; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Bobby Rowland and wife Debbie, Suzanne Cannaday and husband Scott, and Sherri Schultz and husband Jeffrey, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Shipman; her brother, Edwin Jenkins; her sister Sarah Jenkins; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31st at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Naron & Rev. Danny Naron officiating. Burial will follow in Sulphur Springs City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 – 8 p.m.
