Wayne Wise || Obituary

Wayne Wise, 84, passed away December 25, 2024, at his residence with his wife by his side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with Dustin Wise, Fritz Wise, Nick Wise, Curtis Wise, Judge Will Biard and Wolf Wise serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Dixon, Lyle (Kenny) Scales, Jordan Harper, Dr. Terry Kilgore, Norman Montgomery, and Wayne Brown. Family will receive friends from 7:00 PM till 8:00 PM Monday evening at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Harold Wayne Wise was born on September 30, 1940, in Paducah, TX a son of Charles Dewitt and Pansy Ellen Franklin Wise. He was a graduate of Hardin Simmons University, a member of First Baptist Church in Paris and a member of Sons of the American Revolution. He was employed with Belk’s for many years, Reep’s Furniture, Four States Furniture and Ashley Furniture.

He married Glenda Ruth Trimble on May 6, 1994, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He is survived by his spouse, Glenda Wise; children, Dustin Wise and spouse, Dana, Fritz Wise and spouse, Meghan, Nick Wise and spouse, Achlee; grandchildren, Molly Molloy, Grace Wise, Wolf Wise, Fiona Wise and Augusten Wise, 2 nephews and a niece and his fur baby, Sully.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, C.D. Wise and Byron Wise.
