Major auto-pedestrian accident under investigation

Friday, December 20, 2024, at 8:41pm; Paris EMS and Paris PD responded to the 2400 block of Lamar Avenue to a major auto-pedestrian accident. The pedestrian, observed with head and face trauma, was transported from the scene to Paris Regional Health Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The pedestrian has been identified as 36-year-old Crystal Star Cox of Paris and is believed to have fail to yield right of way to vehicle. The next of kin have been notified. The vehicle driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, that will be continued through the Paris Police Accident Reconstruction Team.
