Peggy Elaine Worthey Wilson || Obituary

Peggy Elaine Worthey Wilson, 80, of Paris, TX passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024.

Peggy was the firstborn child of Vernon John (VJ) and Dorothy Worthey and grew up alongside her four brothers on Airport Road. She was a lifelong resident of Paris and the surrounding areas of Reno, Sylvan, and Blossom. She retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years as Personnel Manager where she was highly admired and loved.

Peggy adored her family and friends and was devoted to them. Her children and grandchildren were the joys of her life. She loved flowers and gardening and had a beautiful sense of style that showed in her home as well as her personal fashion. She loved to cook and explore new recipes and celebrated every holiday and birthday to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Austin Shane Wilson, her parents, and her brother, Dee Worthey.

Peggy is survived by her partner Gary Armstrong, her children Brandy and Jay Wilson and his wife Kathleen Wilson; her grandchildren, John Austin Wilson, Colton Wilson, and Finnegan Bullock-Wilson; her brothers, Johnny Worthey, Kelly Worthey, and Todd Worthey; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She also is lovingly remembered by many extended family and close friends.

She is remembered by all who loved her for her compassion, her spunk and sense of humor, and her love of laughter. We will forever miss her and keep her memory in our hearts.

Visitation services will be held Sunday, December 15th from 1-2 PM at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home in Paris with graveside services to follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Park, with Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Austin Wilson, Colton Wilson, Jeff Worthey, Shannon Dusenberry, Steve Lynch, and Rick Shannon.
