Tommy Wayne Harris || Obituary

Tommy Wayne Harris, 78, of Sumner, went to be with his Lord on November 1, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Brad Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery with Ryan Michael, Alec Fleming, Logan Thompson, Aiden Smith, Dusty Michael, and Mark Boehme serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

He was born on February 3, 1946, in Starkville, Miss the son of Wesley and Lillar Mae Montgomery Harris. He was an advertising manager for Paris Lumber, a member of East Paris Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam.

Tommy is survived by his spouse Janice Ann Harris whom he married on November 22, 1971, in Commerce, Tx.; children, Jennifer Michael and Wendy Fleming; grandchildren, Ashlyn Thompson, Alec Fleming, Ryan Michael and Lindsey Michael; brother, Buddy Harris and sisters, Winona Bithell, Barbara Branning, Faye Welch and Phyllis Keller.

Memorials may be made to the Red River Veterans Memorial.
