Paris ISD Celebrates Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is a nationally recognized campaign that brings millions of people together to raise awareness of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse and violence prevention, early prevention, and treatment services. Paris Independent School District is excited to observe Red Ribbon Week with the theme: “Life is a Movie, Film Drug Free” from October 28-31, 2024. The district has organized a series of engaging dress-up days to encourage student participation and spread awareness in a fun and creative way.
Here’s the lineup for the week:
Monday, Oct. 28: “Red Out” Dress in Red This symbolizes our commitment to living a drug-free life and standing united against substance abuse.
Tuesday, Oct. 29: Dress as your Favorite Superhero This day emphasizes the strength and courage needed to make positive choices and stand up against peer pressure.
Wednesday, Oct. 30: “Red Carpet Day” Dress as a Hollywood Star or Paparazzi This day is all about shining bright while making healthy and responsible lifestyle choices.
Thursday, Oct. 31: Wear Wildcat Spirit Gear This day highlights the pride we take in our community and our collective commitment to staying drug-free.
