Julie Kay Scott || Obituary

Julie Kay Scott, 72, of Reno, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Julie was born in Ames, Iowa, March 11, 1952, to Kermit and Joan (Cooper) Lenning. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Ann Lenning, brother David Lenning, and son Glen Ryan Groomes.

She enjoyed gardening, decorating her home and caring for her dear friend, Olivia. She was most proud of the legacy she leaves behind in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters: Michelle Wall and husband Ken of Paris, Texas, and Jennifer Meyer and husband Corey of Reno, Texas. Her grandchildren: Kendra Waldroup and husband Jeremy of Powderly, Texas, Megan Groomes of Paris, Texas, Kenny Wall and wife Casie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lauren Beard and husband Tanner of Blossom, Texas, Kampbell Wall of Paris, Texas, Ethan Grimes, and Samuel and Logan Meyer all of Reno, Texas, Her great-grandchildren: Kenzley, Kyler and Klara Waldroup, Hattie and Hayes Wall and Parker Beard. She is also survived by her sister: Gale Lingenfelter and husband Willie of Nevada, Iowa.

Cremation is under the care of Bright-Holland Funeral Home.
