Anderson “Judd” Bryan || Obituary

September 16, 2024

Anderson “Judd” Bryan, beloved child and friend to all who knew him, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

Judd was born in Paris, Texas on January 14, 2015, to Katharine and Cheyney Bryan. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends and had a vast array of interests and activities. As a student at Aikin Elementary School, Judd loved being a Wildcat and attending school activities, especially football and basketball games where he enjoyed sour candies and nachos. He adored all of his teachers and always looked forward to going to the library to get a new book and making new creations in art class. Outside of school, Judd was active at Quest Academy as a student of piano and art. In his free time after school and during the summers, Judd could be found on his bike, playing basketball, or doing his absolute most favorite activity, riding his motorcycle.

Judd will always be remembered for his quirky sense of humor and for his encyclopedic knowledge of history. He could often be found researching significant American events and dreamed of becoming a Navy pilot one day. In May of 2024, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of
visiting New York City with his friends, the highlight of which was a special private tour of the 9-11 Memorial Museum.

Survivors include Judd’s parents, Katharine and Cheyney Bryan; siblings, Isaac Hutchings, Ava Hutchings, and Colt Ashby; grandparents, Randy and Nancy Meade, Joanna Parsons, Jim and Peggy Bryan; and family members, Chesley and Amanda Bryan, Amelia, Bryan, Huxley, and Hobbs Tower, Robert and Sherry Parsons, Karen LaPier, Michael Crabtree, Zachary Nash, and Ashley, Tyler, and Landon Loveless. Judd was also blessed to have so many friends in his life that it would be impossible to name them all, but they knew how special they were to him. Judd fought courageously over the past year against the most aggressive form of childhood cancer, diffuse midline glioma (DMG). The family wish to thank his incredible medical and care teams for their support, in particular John Cashion, Ryan Baggerley, Ashley Privett, and Chris Carter of Paris Texas; Ashley Kelly of Dangerfield, Texas; The Team at Children’s Health Dallas; Carl Koschmann of The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; The Arnhold Team of Frankfurt, Germany; and David Sacco, Maurizio Ghisoli, Stephanie McDonald, Madeline Crank and the entire pediatric team at Medical City Dallas.

Anyone wishing to contribute toward the fight to defeat DMG/DIPG may donate to the ChadTough Foundation at https://chadtough.org/donate/ or mail checks to ChadTough, P.O. Box 907, Saline, MI 48176
