United Way hosts community conversation on homelessness in Lamar County
The United Way of Lamar County (UWLC) will host a Community Conversation on Homelessness on Friday, September 6th at 9am at the Paris Public Library’s Community Room. All are welcome to attend.
UWLC Executive Director Jenny Wilson explained, “I had a great opportunity last month to talk to the members of the Paris Downtown Association regarding the homeless problem we have and the resources that are available to help them. It is our hope that continuing that conversation will lead to a better understanding of the causes of homelessness and the solutions we might find.”
Wilson adds, “at the United Way we always strive to bring together all stakeholders and listen to a diversity of opinions to find solutions together as a community. I hope that many people – business owners, nonprofits, churches and citizens – will attend this meeting”
