Donald Gene Berry || Obituary

Donald Gene Berry age 66 of Paris, Texas, was born in Denver, Colorado on December 26, 1957. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Randall Berry and Mrs. Lois Berry and his nephew Randy Miller. He is survived by his only sister, Debbie Miller, her husband Jeff and nephews Jason and Justin Miller.

He married Donna Halton and had 3 surviving children, Cody Berry, Scotty Berry and Kelley Berry all of Paris Texas as well. His grandchildren Constance Berry Jaden Berry, twins Kodi and Molly, Kaden and Braden Berry, Weston Biel, Christopher Atnip, Kara Berry, Cheyenne and Shanda Tucker. He also has a great granddaughter Ms. Ronnie Leilani Lynn Biel and one great grandson on the way, Gabrielle Arthur Biel.

My daddy has an outstanding number of close friends whom he thought the world of and who have shared so much with him over the years that there’s just no way I could name you all. He cared very much for all of what he would say is also his family at the fraternal order of the eagles lodge in Paris, Texas. You guys have been great in helping me walk through the steps of all of this and my gratitude is unmatched for the memorial you guys are hosting on his behalf. To his neighbors and close friends around 27th street, Ms. Theresa Ruebottom , Mr. Pete Lattimer, Mr. Charles and CD Massey and, Mr. Earl Posey, I’ll be around that way still, but my daddy thought the world of you guys as well. Thank you all so much.

Last but certainly not least I owe a special thanks to Jacky Chappell for what u did for me just before I walked out of Bright-Holland this morning. I know I’m a weird duck and that cones with some weird requests but you my friend never wavered. I asked and you said ok, let’s do it. I’ll be forever grateful to you Jacky, but I couldn’t have left there without having done that.

Ok now my daddy said I never stopped talking since the day I learned how, so the length of his obituary is just the expected response … I love you daddy…

The family has scheduled a memorial gathering for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, at the Paris Eagles Lodge, 1125 NW Loop 286, Paris, TX 75460. They will receive friends at the Lodge on hour prior to the memorial gathering.
