Wanda Lou (Foster) Smallwood || Obituary

Wanda Lou (Foster) Smallwood, 84, of Reno, Tx. went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 23, 2024, in The Heart Hospital of Plano, surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Chapel Cemetery in Chicota. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Wanda was born on July 4, 1940, in Paris, Tx. the daughter of Carl and Elsie Parker Foster. She was employed at Wells & Kapp CPAs and was a longtime member of Ramseur Baptist Church where she served as pianist. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and a true friend to many.

She married Porter Smallwood in 1958. He preceded her in death in 2010. Wanda was also preceded in death by son, Ricky Smallwood, her parents, brother, Jay Foster and spouse, Helen.

Surviving are a daughter, Vicky Gordon and husband, Dale; grandchildren, Courtney Miller and spouse Doug, Heath Smallwood, Billy Joe Swain and spouse, Tara, Jessica Swain, and Heather Reed; 8 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; daughter-in-law, Brenda Smallwood, a close special friend, Dianne Sansom, and numerous nieces and nephews.
