Donna Marie Chapman || Obituary
Donna Marie Chapman, 74, of Paris TX, passed away on August 24, 2024.
A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, August 27, at Cowboy Church in Camp, with Pastor Wade White officiating. The visitation will be at 5 p.m., followed by the funeral at 6 p.m. A private family interment will take place afterward at Dodd City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Copeland, Brian Hargis, Billy Hargis, Roger Powell, Jeff Jones, Jerome Chapman, David Chapman, and Dusty Chapman.
Donna was born September 19, 1949, the daughter of Lois Maxwell and James Maxwell. After the 10th grade, she married the love of her life, Donald Glen Chapman, on October 8th, 1965. This would lead to her legacy; her family. She and Glen owned and operated Chapman’s Paris Honda Yamaha Harley-Davidson for 56 years. They worked side by side to build an amazing business although everyone knew Donna was the true boss. They traveled all over for dealer conventions and motocross racing and enjoyed boating at the lake. Donna and Glen were members at Cowboy Church in Camp. Donna was always well-dressed and put together. She loved shopping for her grandkids and family, working, and organizing Horton Family Reunions. Her favorite title of all was Mimi. Donna was always contributing to the community. She has been involved with the Harley-Davidson Record Breaking Parade, Ladies of HOG, Paris Chamber of Commerce, Toys for Tots, Veterans Memorial, Kiwanis Club, and Cowboy Church Christmas in Camp.
Donna was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Glen Chapman, and her parents, Lois Maxwell and James Maxwell.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; son, Todd Chapman and wife, Megan, son, Cody Chapman and wife, Jamie; grandchildren, Megan, Macey, Parker, Presli, and Brooklyn Chapman, and great-grandchild, Cali Chapman; sister, Vicki Rogers and husband, Nathan, brother, Gary Maxwell; numerous nephews, nieces, and lots of beloved customers and friends.
