Nancy was very devoted to family and serving others in her own way. She cooked many meals for many people, family, friends, and strangers. She worked at several kitchen jobs as a cook and server. Through the years her service to others changed from a cook to a home health aide. She travelled many miles as an aide, from the Paris area across north Texas to Ranger and south to Austin. In her latter jobs, she worked side by side with her husband as they built a house together on Callendar Lake near Edom, TX, and even when most women are enjoying retirement, Nancy and husband Glenn Foster worked part time mowing lawns in the community, with Nancy on the riding mower and Glenn handling the weed eater. During this time, they shared their love and life with their miniature poodle, “Ginger”. This small dog went almost everywhere with them, and Nancy truly grieved when she was no longer with them. After Glenn succumbed to the effects of cancer and passed away, she moved around northeast Texas before returning to the home she loved on the calming shore of Callendar lake, sitting around the fire in the evening (a seasonal activity), listening to the croaking of the frogs and other night critters, and watching the shimmering water

reflecting the glow of the moon as it rose in the sky. As her health declined in her last years, she moved to Canton to be near her son. She succumbed to her many health issues and was received into the arms of Christ at 10:42 am on Saturday, 17 August 2024. She will live on in the hearts of those who loved her most and may her many descendants honor her with fond memories and much love.
