Yvonne Gage Gentry || Obituary

Yvonne Gage Gentry, 84, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at Legend Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center with her daughter at her side.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21st at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ with Keith Bollman officiating. Private burial will follow in Union Cemetery at Taylortown. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Yvonne, the daughter of Jesse Aaron Gage & Lillian Jones Gage, was born November 23, 1939, in Paris, TX.

She graduated from Paris High School and received a business degree from East Texas State University. Her working career began at First National Bank in Paris followed by many years at Norment & Castleberry. Yvonne then began working at the Texas Employment Commission where she retired.

She was a lifetime member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. The family requests that memorials be made to the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ Latchkey Program.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Henry Gentry, a daughter, Yvette Snow, a sister, Geneva Golden, a stepson, Brad Gentry, and a nephew, Ricky Golden.

Survivors include her daughter, Jae Dickinson & husband John, son-in-law, Kevin Snow & wife Ann, grandchildren, Meagan Earthman & husband Michael, Matt Dickinson & wife Aime’e, Austin Snow & wife Amber, and Ben Dickinson & wife Danielle, great grandchildren, Ansley, Acen, Aubrey, Lawson, Hunter, Connor, and Shepherd, a nephew, Danny Golden and numerous extended family members and a plethora of friends.
