Johnny Mack Brown || Obituary

On Monday, August 12, 2024, Johnny Mack Brown passed from this life into the presence of his Savior. He was born on December 18, 1956, in Temple, Texas, to Bruce Giles Brown and Catherine Carey Brown. Johnny followed in his father’s footsteps, working as a painting contractor for much of his life.

Johnny had a deep love for music, enjoyed his friends, and was passionate about Harley-Davidson motorcycles, enjoying the freedom of riding along Texas roads. He was devoted to his family and loved ones, leaving behind his long-time partner Heather, daughter Tobi, his sisters June Smith and Kimberley Dodd, and husband Carl, and brother Anthony Brown.

He is also survived by his sons, John Brown and his wife Melanie of Paris, Texas, and Kelley Brown of Cleburne, Texas. His grandchildren include Evelyn Brown, Brendan Brown, Allison Brown, Matthew Brown, Bryce Brown, and Addison Brown.

As well as his nieces and nephews: Anthony Brown, Matthew Brown, Erick Brown, Maegan Dunn, Caleb Dodd, Joey Smith, Natalie Goode, Karen Painter, Melissa Spivey Garcia, and Mark Spivey Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Catherine Brown, and his brother, Mark Spivey.

The family would like to thank the Elara Hospice staff who provided Johnny with excellent care during his illness.
