Charlene Delores Nichols || Obituary

Charlene Delores Nichols, 82, of Paris, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by family and friends. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Meadowbrook Gardens with Rev. Tiny Freelen officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Friday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

She was born on November 27, 1941, in South Bend, Indiana the only child of Robert James and Ida Leah Areta. Charlene was a homemaker and stay at home Mom. She was a member of Red Hat Ladies Society, Primetime, and Red River Honkers. She loved crafting, sewing and crocheting.

On July 26, 1959, Charlene married William (Bill) Earl Nichols in San Diego, California. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2020. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert David (Bob) Nichols and her parents.

She is survived by children; Cynthia Berry and spouse, Robert Berry, and John Nichols and spouse, Kelly Nichols; grandchildren, Michael & Brittany Berry, Travis and Ashley Berry, Jason & Jennifer Berry, Mandy Nichols, Bre Nichols & Dillon Self. Matthew Nichols & Amairani and Phillip Nichols and 9 Great Grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Silver Crest Hospice, Kim McLaughlin and Golden Care Home Health and chaplain for the excellent care they extended to Mrs. Nichols and family.
