North Lamar High School recently hosted Panthers First, an event designed to welcome freshmen and help them acclimate to their new school environment. Approximately 130 freshmen attended the event, which allowed them to explore the school, attend various informational sessions, and learn more about school policies, UIL, CTE, and other programs and organizations available to them. The Credit Union of Texas generously donated and prepared lunch, serving burgers and chips to all students, student helpers, and teachers on campus. Additionally, Kroger and Brookshire’s contributed bottled water for everyone, while Starbucks donated coffee for the student helpers. Panthers First was a great success, ensuring that the incoming freshmen feel prepared and excited for their high school journey at North Lamar.
