Larry Dale Carter || Obituary
Larry Dale Carter of Blossom, Texas passed away at home on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, surrounded by his family, at the age of 74.
Funeral services have been set for Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00 am at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Evers officiating. Interment will follow at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
Larry was born on Jan. 18, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas to James Edward and Eunice McCarty Carter. He married Patricia Bitzkie on July 2, 1977, in Devine, Texas. Three years later they moved to Gilmer, Texas and started their family. 15 years later, they moved to Blossom, Texas where he retired as a carpenter after 42 years. He then began to farm and “chase” his grandchildren as he said. Larry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and most of all he enjoyed buying and selling equipment. He could fix anything and looked forward to the equipment auctions and visiting with his auction friends.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pat; daughters, Brandi Trewin and husband Clint of Blossom, Jennifer Murray and husband Corbis of Smithville, Oklahoma, Michele Patrick and husband Shawn of Dalhart, Texas; grandchildren, Aidan Hicks, Addison Trewin, Corbin Murray, Jeremiah Murray, Remington Murray, Lucas Murray, Katelynn Adams and husband Corban, Mackenzie Green; great-grandson, Waylon Jeffery Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Eunice Carter, brother, James Carter, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Clint Trewin, Aidan Hicks, Corbis Murray, Corbin Murray, Jeff Rickles and Jeremiah Murray.
