Mace Kendrick McAdams, age 62, of Paris Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday July 20, 2024. He passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Mace was born March 27, 1962, in Spearman, Texas to Durwood and Ina Vay McAdams. Mace was a devoted son, brother, uncle, father and Papa. He is survived by his daughters Sharayah Zwierlein and husband James of Tucson, AZ and Megan McAdams and partner Kenny Stephens of Redmond, OR. Grandchildren Joseph Zwierlein, Ryan Zwierlein, Madison Lynne Bean, Dylan Kendrick Zwierlein, Hailey Jane Zwierlein and Kennedy Nicole Stephens. His daughter’s mother Terri McAdams of Cal City, CA who he was married to for 17 years.

His ex-wife, Peggy McAdams of California City, CA who he was married to for 13 years. His stepdaughters, Kimberly Pohler and husband John of Long Beach, CA, Melissa Moore of Tehachapi, CA, and Rebecca Wofford of Tehachapi, CA. Grandchildren Koury, Reiana, Aiden, Jocelyn, Micah and Reagan.

Mace is also survived by his mother, Ina McAdams of Paris, TX, sister-in-law Karen McAdams of Belton, TX, brothers Gary McAdams of Paris, TX, Alan McAdams and wife Sabra of Edmond, OK, and sister Jalane Pointer and husband Michael of Paris, TX. And numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Anita, father Durwood and brother Jimmy.

Mace graduated from Canadian High School in Canadian, TX in 1980. He went on to attend and graduate from a technical sound production school in Cincinnati, OH. In the early 80’s he moved to California to pursue his dreams of a music career. He wrote, recorded and performed music throughout the years at a number of venues and concerts. He married and raised his family in California City. He made a fulltime career holding positions as an Environmentalist at JT3 and a Health & Environmental Engineer a Civil Service position at Edwards Airforce Base in Edwards, CA until his retirement in March of this year. During Covid, due to his health issues, he relocated back to Texas to be close to family and continued to work at his position remotely.

Mace’s family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Chambers Hospice group for their wonderful care and their loving friendships to Mace. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that donations be made in his memory to Chambers Hospice, 3305 NE Loop 286F, Paris, TX 75460.

A Memorial service for Mace will be held Saturday July 27th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris, TX at 2:00pm. The family will hold a graveside service for the burial of his ashes at a later date in Valley Mills, Texas.
